History

In 1919 Charles W. Purpero started a dump truck service of his own as an offshoot of his family’s “Purpero Cartage” business. “Purpero Trucking” was born!

After World War II, the eldest son of Charles, Phillip joined his father and began to provide leadership with help from his brothers Anthony and Salvatore (Sam) who also joined the family business over the next few years. It wasn’t long before they expanded the company’s services to include excavating and grading.

C.W. Purpero, Inc. was incorporated on December 23, 1949 under Chapter 180 of the Wisconsin Statutes as a successor to Purpero Trucking.

In the late 1980’s Phillip turned the reins over to Sam who soon afterward was joined by his son Phillip. Along with their growing workforce Sam and Phil continued to build on the company’s excellent reputation while expanding into new markets.

In 2019 C.W. Purpero celebrates it’s Centennial Anniversary.
